The Goa Government has launched a new housing-and-land-rights scheme known as Majhe Ghar Scheme Goa, which means My Home. The behind launching this scheme is to recognise, regularise and grant legal rights to people who live in houses on state or community land. Basically, under this scheme, the government will give them official ownership rights through a document called a Class I Sanad. Once they get this, their house will become legally recognised, and they won’t have to worry about losing it in the future. So, to know more about this scheme in detail, keep reading this article till the end.

Motive of the Majhe Ghar Scheme
The main goal behind launching Majhe Ghar Scheme is to make sure that every Goan family can proudly say that the house they live in truly belongs to them. As you know, many families have lived in the same house for generations, but due to missing documents or unclear land titles, their homes were never officially theirs. So this scheme fixes this problem. Also, through this scheme government wants to give legal ownership to people who live on government or comunidade land, Also to bring peace and security to people who fear eviction.
